BAND AT T.E.C.

The instrumental music program at the Tobyhanna Elementary Center is an elective class available to fifth grade students. Students participate in a screening process in the Spring of their fourth grade year to select the instrument. The lessons begin in the Fall of their fifth grade year. Students are instructed in small group lessons on brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments. The student receives one 45 minute lesson each six-day cycle.

In January, the students form the Beginning Band. The Beginning Band rehearses during the activity period for 45 minutes once per six-day cycle. The Beginning Band performs a Spring Concert at the Tobyhanna Elementary Center in April.
