About Our School
Enrollment

Approximately 1,000 students in grades 6 and 7 make up the student body at Clear Run Intermediate School.

Schedule

The Intermediate school day runs from 8:07 a.m. to 3:17 p.m. Students may begin arriving at 7:45 a.m. All students have a half-hour lunch period each day.

Curriculum

Students at both Pocono Mountain Intermediate Schools follow the same curriculum and utilize a “TEAM” concept. Students are assigned to a team of teachers and travel together with one group of students throughout the day. Teachers instruct the same group of students and work together to find avenues to promote students’ success, to share strategies in instruction, and to plan collaboratively. A strong emphasis is placed on reading and mathematics skills. The fine and practical arts are integrated throughout the students’ core curriculum to provide a well balanced program. Additional academic support services are available to eligible students, such as after school tutoring, Saturday School, and summer remediation.

Student Breakfasts and Lunches

Full student breakfasts and lunches are available for all grades. Breakfasts for all grades are $.75. At the secondary level, lunches range from $1.30 to $1.55. All schools utilize a computerized point-of-sale credit/debit register system. You may prepay for any number of breakfasts and/or lunches as well as put money on your child's account for snacks. If you qualify, your children may also get meals free or at a reduced price.
